Harriet Miers' confirmation to go ahead despite liberal whining

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Leading Republican and Democratic senators said on Sunday they do not expect President George W. Bush to withdraw Harriet Miers' U.S. Supreme Court nomination despite fierce criticism of her by conservatives and liberals. "I haven't seen anything coming from the White House that says that they're going to pull this nomination," said Kansas Republican Sen. Sam Brownback (news, bio, voting record), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, on "Fox News Sunday."

I am glad that a person who finds G.W. Bush to be a brilliant man is getting a nomination despite some bipartisan opposition, this is a slap to the face to those Washington scoundrels who doubt president's leadership - you loose again liberals; and do you really think any impartial judge in his right mind would indict president and vice-president on the charges of obstruction of justice and treason in the time of war??? HA, but this is liberal media spin all over again ... jee, I miss the Kerry/Edwards campaign ... talking to the left about Kerry's 3 Purple Hearts for 3 Paper Cuts ... good old 2004, but I digress again; hate and reactionary politics chipping away Democrat party membership on daily basis ... but keep it up, as my fellow Yahoo conservative posters say, there are 1697 days left until Hillary concedes ... hahaha

UPDATE ----

Harriet Myers nomination was pulled by that gallant, stoic, marbled leader "dubya," after the the far right wing extremists in the republican party pulled their support. This is a case of Republicans eating their own. And of course, pandering to the extreme right wing religous zealots, that would bring the US into a new dark age.

Can you say "Flip-Flop"

NOTE ----

Democrats have no way of stopping any nomination to the supreme court due to their numbers. A filabuster is their only means of slowing a nomination. No filabuster was considered.

Again gunt, you are sadly Mass Media Deceiving.
