This is your new James Bond 007

What were MGM/ Brocolli family thinking ???

Casting for long-awaited next Bond feature film Casino Royale was tough understandably - and this guy (Daniel Craig) might be a decent actor - BUT LOOK AT HIM - he ain't no Bond, this is worst looking Bond since George Lazenby - of all the people they could have used (i.e. Collin Farrel, Clive Owen - big miss, Ewan McGregor), they select him!

WHY?

Who knows, point is, as a James Bond series fan - I might reconsider continuing my dedication to the latter with this guy in the role - he's not anywhere near Pierce Brosnan in terms of charisma and might easily drive this whole franchise into the ground.

I might be giving to much credit to the likes of Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton, but lowering standards in today's market for ANY franchise can be catastrophic - oh well, I guess conversation between Auric Goldfinger and Sean Connery as James Bond ironically summarizes it all:

"Do you expect me to talk?"

"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

I agree Im a big Bond fan. Pierce should have stayed. However I understand him leaving. The last movie with Halle would have taken a toll on me too LOL

It probably had alot to do with Operations Officer (00 or in her case OOPs) Plame and Wilson claiming today he was 'dispatched' on a mission by the Vice President of the United States.

All the new Bond stuff is good, since the Dircetorate of Operations 'ceased to exist' as what it was today; however you can trace the decline of Bond to the jokes in the older movies, Pearce not beating enough women(really needed, sorry), and the general decline of society istself-rich and powerful poeple using hollywood to explain they are mad how they were treated.

Anyway, new Bond more realistic view of operations, but, then angain Ian was and it was'nt fun, which is why its Bond and the cars, females, etc.

I kind of agree that the Bond chosen may not be the right one as their were just as many people out their that could have been chosen. So for once Yugunter, we agree on something.
