U.S. Democrats hopelessly stuck in Sept 10, 2001 mindset

WASHINGTON - Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid called Sunday for congressional hearings and investigations into President Bush's authorization of domestic spying as part of the war on terror. "This Congress has done very little oversight," Reid, D-Nev., said on "Fox News Sunday." "There should be an investigation and hearings." Reid acknowledged that he was briefed by the administration about the surveillance program "a couple of months ago." But he said the program apparently has been going on for four years and "there's no way the president can pass the buck."

This is war, and sometimes you can't fight a sensitive war as senator Kerry wanted us to - sometimes you have to temporary give up some liberties for the sake of national security, and yes hurt some terror suspect's feelings - but if that is the price that has to be paid, i.e. not 1 terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9.11 (and don't bring up that anthrax nonsense) is a success of these policies such as these spying operations or Patriot Act - and if are attacked again as the result of suppression of these measures - I hope every senator who voted against these will have blood of the victims on their hands.

Hey buddy, here is a quote lifted from your newspaper National post that tells the truth about your insane leader. Good old George W Harper, make sure Canada that on January 23, vote Liberals and keep our rights that belong to us. No one should be able to over ride the Charter, this is insane to even think that Harper will be doing this.

GO LIBERALS GO!!!!!!

“His [Stephen Harper’s] same-sex marriage opposition is going to cost him time and time again in the Ontario mainstream. And he will not gain offsetting votes from ethnics who agree with him. On other issues his answers were flat and his presentation even flatter. He was adequate, nothing more.” (Don Martin, National Post, December 17)

Whats the story? No attacks on US Soil since 9/11? how many before? How do you know that you're winning a war if you're fighting in a different plane and scope? If you think that by intruding on people - YOUR OWN CITIZEN'S personal freedoms and liberties, you can win a war, you have already lost.

Is the U.S fighting terrorism or undemocratic tyranny? I thought Iraq was invaded for the purpose preventing a serious attack on America. Since when has democracy become a commodity that can be imposed on a country under false pretense.

I will never trust Bush cronies for the tragedy and pain they brought to the Iraqis. 30 000 dead people! If I could meet president Bush I would spit in his face...and spit in the face of his children.
