Quote of the Day

You know, after carefully considering should the Quote of the Day section should be solely devoted to Iranian president, I decided to share that honor with another dignitary, and besides, Mahmoud gets his own section from now on, similarly to the following, whom I am still considering giving some special honors, so here it goes:

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine punishment for "dividing God's land.""God considers this land to be his," Robertson said on his TV program "The 700 Club." "You read the Bible and he says `This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, `No, this is mine."'

This is another one in the series of rather interesting and controversial quotes by that Christ- killer, and I am sure it will make its round on latenight comedy shows; but as one of my fellow bloggers had mentioned, have Mr. Robertson not been running a successful scam - namely 700 Club - he would of been one of those crazy guys standing on a busy intersection of the city, with yellow, urine-stained pants preaching end of the world. Being a Christian myself, I am appalled and disgusted by anyone who profiteers of our Lord the Savior, or pushes his/ hers own agenda using the Lord's name.
